At 18 years old, I made my way to Bismarck, North Dakota, where I began working under Arlen, a longtime friend of my father and a skilled flooring installer. Arlen generously helped me get started, even fronting me a few essential tools with the agreement I’d pay him back after my first paycheck.

After a year of hands-on experience, Arlen recognized my talent for tile work and introduced me to the company’s top tile installer. I trained under him for two years, sharpening my craft and learning the finer details of high-quality tile installation. Eventually, the company trusted me to manage my own van and complete projects independently. After two more years in that role, I felt the time was right to start my own business.

I left on great terms, purchased my own tools and truck, secured my LLC, and took the leap into business ownership. I later expanded operations to Arizona, where I continued to serve clients for nearly a decade while still maintaining a strong presence in North Dakota. Along the way, I met Dan—now one of my best friends and an exceptionally talented craftsman who works alongside me. We enjoy what we do, and it shows in every project we complete together.

Working with my hands has always been a passion. Even as a child, my parents recognized my natural ability and saved artwork I created as young as three years old. They encouraged me to use the gift God gave me, and today, that’s exactly what I do—combining skill, pride, and years of experience to deliver work I’m truly proud of.
